Resident Doctors call off nationwide strike

Members of the National Association of Resident Doctors have suspended their nationwide strike.

The suspension comes ten days after the doctors commenced the strike, leaving many patients unattended across various government-owned hospitals in the country.

The President of NARD, Doctor Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, who confirmed the suspension of the strike to newsmen in Abuja, said that the leadership of the union took the decision to suspend the industrial action after a virtual meeting with members

He explained that the strike was suspended due to their responsibility to Nigerians and the fact that the Federal government has met some of their demands.
