Aggrieved APC members move to stop party convention

Some aggrieved members of the All Progresive Congress have commenced legal action to stop the planned February National Convention of the APC by dragging the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee before a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The aggrieved members have already applied to the court for an order to restrain the committee from going ahead with the convention.

The plaintiffs, Suleiman Usman, Muhammed Shehu, Samaila Isahaka, Idris Isah and Audu Emmanuel in the suit are praying the court for an order to stop the convention on the ground that state congresses are yet to be completed in all the thirty-six states of the federation.

No date has been fixed for the hearing of the case.
