Alleged terrorism/treason; Ozekhome joins Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team

Lawyers of the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, are back in court, as his trial for terrorism and treason resumes at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The trial is expected to take a new turn following the amended fifteen count charges filed by the Federal Government before Justice Binta Nyako.

However; the leader of Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, told newsmen outside the court that there are several applications before the court to consider today.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor refused to disclosed the new charges filed against Kanu, but described them as useless.

Meanwhile; leading human rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, has joined the legal team of the IPOB leader, Nnmadi Kanu.

Kanu’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, informed newsmen in Abuja of the boost in the legal team, as they arrived in court for the resumed trial.

Reports say Nnamdi Kanu was brought to court by operatives of the Department of State Services at about 7AM, amidst tight security.
