The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has replaced the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, ahead of the governorship election on November 6.
The new Commissioner of Police is Echeng Eworo Echeng, and he takes over from C.P. Tony Olofu, who has been moved to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
C.P. Echeng, who is well experienced in peace building, was moved from his previous posting as Commissioner of Police in the Bayelsa State Command.
I.G.P. Baba also ordered operatives of the Police Special Forces to move into Anambra State to boost the ongoing “Operation Restore Peace” in the state.
