The continued closure of Nigeria’s land borders has become a subject of major concern for some business people.
This is especially because of the observation that some business persons with connections in high offices appear to be enjoying access to move goods across the borders.
Leading Nigerian economist and banker, ATEDO PETERSIDE, alleged that the Federal Government policy on land border closure is discriminatory.
In a message on his Twitter handle, ATEDO PETERSIDE, said that allowing legitimate exporters and importers to move their goods across the border should be difficult.
PETERSIDE said that the action of government to refuse everybody else and allow only one company to move goods across the country is the reason that many believe that the Nigerian economy is rigged in favour of a handful of well-connected persons.
