Chidinma, 2 others charged over Ataga murder

The Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution has cleared eleven persons of wrongdoings in connection to the murder of Super TV Chief Executive, Usifo Ataga.

However, the DPP report reveals that the prime suspect, Chidinma Ojukwu, and two others have cases to answer over the death of Usifo Ataga at a lodging apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos.

The report indicates that a case of conspiracy, forgery and murder has been established against Chidinma and one Adedapo Quadri, while Egbucu Chioma will be tried for possession of an iPhone 7 belonging to late Ataga.

The revelations were made when Chidinma Ojukwu was brought before the Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

However, the court was informed that charges had been filed against the accused persons at the Lagos State High Court.

The Magistrate Court then adjourned the case till September 29, while waiting for further information from the DPP on the matter at the High Court.
