Customs hand over smuggled military hardware to Army

The Nigeria Customs Service has handed over some military hardware, including over six hundred drones, that were seized from smugglers in Lagos.

The items, worth over three hundred and seventy-nine million, were handed over to officers of the Nigerian Army.

The Customs Area Comptroller of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, Sambo Dan Galadima, made the presentation during a meeting with at the Command Headquarters.

Customs Area Comptroller Galadima said the drones were seized because only the Nigerian military are allowed to import such items into the country.

Area Comptroller Galadima also handed over some seized hard drugs and pharmaceutical products to officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control.
