Dan-Dizzy opens up on Burna Boy mega homecoming concert controversy
  • Gets N10m crowdfunding appeal

The Burna Boy Mega Homecoming Concert in Port Harcourt has sparked a controversy in the entertainment circles because of the handling of the event by the Rivers State Government.

Governor Nyesom Wike’s ten-thousand-naira cash gifts to each of the entertainers is also being seen by some persons as an attempt to humiliate fast-rising Rivers-born rapper, Dan Dizzy.

This is because Dan Dizzy had turned down an offer of three hundred thousand naira by the state government to perform at the event last Saturday.

Dan-Dizzy told Lasgidi FM News Desk that his decision was strictly based on business considerations.

The rapper explained that the money he was offered could not fund his trip from Lagos to Port Harcourt for the concert.

Dan-Dizzy also said that he had no regret over the ten-million-naira gift Governor WIKE promised each of the entertainers who performed at the concert.

Meanwhile; some individuals have launched a crowd-funding to raise ten million naira to support Dan-Dizzy’s music career.

Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organisations, Enefa Georgewill, told Lasgidi FM News Desk that Dan-Dizzy was an inspiration for the younger generation.
