Gunmen have again attacked a police station in Imo State, and the latest incident happened in Okigwe South Local Government Area.
Reports say five police officers were killed in the attack, while another officer is said to be missing as at yesterday evening.
The spokesman of the Imo State Police Command, ORLANDO IKEOKWU, confirmed that the gunmen also burned down the police station building.
The attack on the police in Okigwe South comes days after gunmen attacked the country home of Governor Hope Uzodinma at Omuma, in Oru East Local Government Area.
One security official was killed in that attack, while a section of the compound and some vehicles packed within were set on fire.
