Violent attacks continued in Anambra State yesterday, with some policemen reportedly shot dead yesterday.
Gunmen attacked a police station in Ajali, Orumba North Local Government Area, where the killed the officers and set the station on fire.
The State Commissioner of Police, Tony Olofu, confirmed the incident to newsmen, adding that only two policemen lost their lives.
At another location, gunmen also attacked and killed the driver of a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Chris Azubogu, who is a member of APGA.
The latest killings yesterday came two days after Doctor Chike Akunyili, the husband of late Information Minister, Professor Dora Akunyili, was shot dead while traveling between Onitsha and Enugu.
