JOHESU ends 7-Day warning strike

Members of the five unions that make up the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU, have returned to work in federal heath institutions across Nigeria after their warning strike over the past seven days.

Other health workers who had embarked on strike on Monday, September 14 are those under the Assembly of Healthcare Professional Associations.

The suspension of the strike was announced in a statement by the JOHESU’s National President, BIOBÉKENTÓYE JOSIAH.

However; JOSIAH said the Federal Government had failed to address their demands, but decided to blackmail and intimidate their members.

Their demands included upward review of the Covid-19 special inducement and hazard allowances; payment of withheld salaries; and adjustment of Consolidated Medical Salary Structure.
