We begin with a highly anticipated collaboration between Nigerian and Indian movie makers, with the title: “Namaste Wahala”, is set to be released soon.

This was confirmed in a statement by the producer and director, HAMISHA DARYANI AHUJA, but he did not give the exact date for the release of the new movie.

Bollywood-Nollywood collaboration was initially due for release in cinemas in April last year, but was forced to be delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Namaste Wahala” features some Nollywood big names like RICHARD MOFE DAMIJO, JOKE SILVA, INI DIMA OKOJIE, BRODA SHAGGY, as well as rapper, MI ABAGA.

Still in upcoming productions, and this time in music; Nigerian singer, REMA has revealed that DON JAZZY will produce his next single.

REMA confirmed in message on Twitter that he is in the studio with his boss working on the yet-to-be-titled single.

Don Jazzy has not produced any song for REMA since he joined Mavin Records in 2019,
Meanwhile; Nigerian Afro-fusion star BURNA BOY is in trouble again, and this time it is with Ghanaian dancehall artiste, SHATTA WALE.

The self-acclaimed Dancehall king, claims that BURNA BOY gossiped about him while he was in Ghana.

He said that the Grammy-nominated singer should have acted mature and come to him as a brother to settle any issue he had against him instead of badmouthing him.

Recall that BURNA BOY was in Ghana during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, and was spotted at a number of events and nightclubs.

It was while in the West African country that BURNA BOY engaged in a fight with fellow Nigerian singer, DAVIDO.

On the foreign scene; American rapper and producer DOCTOR DRE has been discharged from hospital after being treated for a brain-related illness.

DOCTOR DRE, whose real name is ANDRE YOUNG, was admitted in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Recall that the former member of N.W.A rap group, was instrumental in shaping the careers of Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and many others.

In foreign movies; LIAM NEESON’s action thriller “The Marksman” has hit number one, with three point million dollars in ticket sales in the US Box Office.

The film was shown in one thousand, nine hundred band seventy-five locations.

The movie’s distributor had in a statement projected that the film would rake in three point seven million dollars this week.

‘The Marksman’ joins other movies like “Honest Thief” and “The War With Grandpa” as some of the lowest-budget production hits in modern history due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

On a sad note; US music producer, PHIL SPECTOR has died at the age of eighty-one, while serving a prison sentence for murder.

SPECTOR is credited with the transformation of pop with his “Wall of Sound” recordings.

He worked with the Beatles, the Righteous Brothers, as well as Ike and Tina Turner.

In 2009, he was convicted of the 2003 murder of Hollywood actress Lana Clarkson.
