Lagos Assembly honours C.P. Odumosu; charges police to treat citizens with respect

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, MUDASHIRU OBASA, has called on the Police to treat everyone in Lagos with respect and dignity.

Speaker OBASA cautioned the police against engaging in acts of harassment, intimidation and extortion of residents, which he said would not earn them the respect of citizens.

The Speaker made the call during a session in honour of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, HAKEEM ODUMOSU, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police and is due for retirement next month.

In his response; the outgoing Commissioner of Police thanked the Lagos State lawmakers for their support, adding that security and peace in the state would not have been possible without the assistance of the House of Assembly.
