Lagos State Government shuts down Chrisland Schools as police investigate sex video

The Lagos State Government has shut down all Chrisland Schools in the state indefinitely, following the immoral act by students of the school during a visit to Dubai.

A government statement disclosed that the matter was being investigated by the Ministry of Education, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Ministry of Justice and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency.

In a joint statement by all the listed ministries and agencies, the state government also confirmed the involvement of the police to investigate the criminal angel of the incident.

The state assured of its commitment to provide adequate medical, psychological and social support in line with its duty of ensuring safety and child protection in all child-centred institutions within Lagos.

The government also reminded the general public that any person who records and circulates sexual conduct involving a child, commits an offence, which attracts fourteen-year imprisonment.
