Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Amendment Law 2021.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the new law would further strengthen the justice system.
He said it would also promote the rights of victims and suspects, as well as address the issue of delay in the administration of criminal justice.
The Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State was first amended in 2007, and further amended in 2011 to ensure protection of the fundamental rights of suspects.
