Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire outbreak at the Ajao market in Lagos State.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, are also trying to determine the number of buildings that were affected.
LASEMA’s Director General, OKE OSAYINTOLU said the damage by the fire could have been worse if not for the quick response by his men.
OSAYINTOLU also told our correspondent CHUKWUEMEKA OBIOMA that no human life was lost in the fire, which started after midnight.
