NFF asks me to go – Gernot Rohr

The Nigerian Football Federation has asked Super Eagles coach, Rohr to resign.

The Franco-German coach confirmed that the NFF wants him to go, but said he was yet to be sacked, as some online media had claimed.

The move to remove Rohr follows the Eagles poor performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier, which the team managed to reach the playoff.

The Super Eagles played a one-one draw against Cape Verde in their last group game, which took place in Lagos on Tuesday.

Among football lovers who have also called for Rohr to be replaced is former Abia State Governor and current Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu.

The APC Senator for Abia North said Rohr was not a good coach, recalling that he had rejected him as manager of Enyimba Football Club of Aba.
