NFF sacks Super Eagles technical crew over World Cup miss

The Nigeria Football Federation has sacked the Super Eagles’ technical crew following the resignation of the manager, Augustine Eguavoen.

The Nigeria Football Federation took the decision after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar, following a 1-1 draw with Ghana at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Tuesday.

The NFF in a statement also withdrew the two-and-half year contract offered to the coaches and terminated the appointment of the entire technical crew of the team with immediate effect.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria last missed out of the World Cup in Germany 2016 and will now have to focus on the 2023 AFCON.
