NIG@61: Governor Sanwo-Olu urges Nigerians to be courageous

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has challenged Nigerians to summon the courage, energy and political will to face the problems confronting the country and address them directly.

In his Independence Day goodwill message, Governor Sanwo-Olu said that Nigeria is not the only country in the world that is facing deep-seated questions about ethnic, racial and religious diversity.

He said Nigerians must learn from the past of other countries in order to understand how to create a future for the country.

Meanwhile; Governor Sanwo-Olu is expected to take part in a parade as part of activities to mark the independence anniversary.

This was made known by the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, in a telephone interview with Lasgidi FM News Desk.

Omotosho said Nigeria at Sixty-One is an opportunity to celebrate the strength and endurance of the people.

He mentioned the destructions recorded during the EndSARS protest and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as some of the challenges that people in Lagos have had to deal with.
