Nigeria receives 3.2 million Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines from U.S

The United States government has supplied additional three point two million doses of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to Nigeria.

US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard, has visited the National Strategic Warehouse to see the latest supplies.

Ambassador Leonard visited the facility together with the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Doctor Faisal Shuaib.

A statement by the US Mission in Nigeria noted that the American government has so far donated twenty-four million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to Nigeria.

It noted that the latest shipment reflects the United States’ commitment to purchase and donate one point two billion Covid-19 doses across the world.

The U.S. government urges all Nigerians to go out and get vaccinated to make themselves safe and make use of the donated Covid-19 vaccines.

Meanwhile; the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed additional one hundred and sixty-three new cases of Covid-19 yesterday, with fifty-nine cases recorded in Lagos State.
