Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu has won the silver medal in the women’s sixty-eight-kilogram freestyle wrestling category.
Blessing Oborududu lost against USA’s Stock Mensah Tamyra Marianna in the final event at the Tokyo Olympics.
Oborodudu’s silver medal is the first for Nigeria in the Olympic wrestling, and also the second medal for Team Nigeria in the Tokyo Games.
Team Nigeria’s first medal in the Tokyo Olympics is a bronze, which was won by Ese Brume in the long jump event.
