Ozekhome accuses FG of ‘ambush’ in Nnamdi Kanu’s trial

Chief Mike Ozekhome has accused the Federal Government of frustrating the treason and terrorism of Nnamdi Kanu.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria also alleged that the Federal Government was deliberately delaying the trial and had failed to provide Kanu with necessary facilities to defend himself against the charges.

Chief Ozekhome said after sixth amendment of the charges against the IPOB leader, it appears that the government was using ambush tactic to delay the trial.

Ozekhome said although the Administration Criminal Justice Act allows the amendment of charges, he noted that each time the amendment is made, the defence team is served a day to the hearing.

Speaking in a separate interview earlier, the Kanu’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said the amended fifteen count charges against the IPOB leader would fail in court.
