President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a message of condolence to United States President Joe Biden, over the death of former Secretary of State, General Colin Powell.
President Buhari says he believes that as the first African-American Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Powell was a great statesman and a global figure.
In a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, President Buhari recalled the role late Powell played in advancing the US foreign policy and national defense.
