The Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Senator ORJI UZOR KALU, has called on the police to ensure that their actions are in line with the fundamental principles for the development of a just society.
Senator ORJI KALU said it was not good for people live in fear, as they would begin to doubt those in authority, which he described as totally unacceptable.
The APC Senator of Abia North also noted that a number of SARS police officers are lawless, and that many Nigerians have complained about how uncomfortable they feel dealing with them.
He thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Federal Government to respecting the opinions of Nigerians by approving the dissolution of SARS formations across the country.
