Super Eagles Camp open for CAF Qualifiers

Some foreign based players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria have returned home for the first-leg of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against the national football team of Sierra Leone on Friday.

Those who have reported at the Super Eagles camp in Benin City, Edo State, include AHMED MUSA, KELECHI IHEANACHO, OKOYE MADUKA, OGHENEKARO ETEBO, and PAUL ONUACHU.

Meanwhile; the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that SHEHU ABDULLAHI will replace FRANK ONYEKA in the Eagles’ defence.

Coach GERNOT ROHR had placed ABDULLAHI on standby for the qualifying matches, before he was handed a late call up after ONYEKA pulled out of the squad.

The NFF confirmed that ONYEKA was down with an injury and he is not expected to recover in time for the games against the Leone Stars in Benin and Freetown.
