A forty-nine-year-old woman has died and another is in detention following a fight over the payment of electricity bill of their compound.
The incident happened at House Number 26 on Orijamogun Street, around Oreyo, in Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The woman in detention, TINA ESSI, is the landlady of the compound, whose daughter is alleged to have fought with late CHRISTIAN AKPARIE, before she died.
The Lagos State Police Command spokesman, MUYIWA ADEJOBI, said the fight happened on the last day of January this year.
ADEJOBI said after the fight; late AKPARIE continued to feel severe pains until her death last Saturday, February 6.
He said the Commissioner of Police has ordered that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, for thorough investigation.
C.P ODUMOSU also advised relatives of the dead woman to remain calm, with the assurance that the Police Command would ensure that justice is done in the matter.
