Di tax reform bills include:
- Nigeria Tax Bill 2024
- Tax Administration Bill
- Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Bill
- Joint Revenue Board Establishment Bill
Since di bills don pass second reading, di next step na public hearing where dem go check am well before final decision.
But no be everybody dey happy with di tax reforms. Northern governors and some opposition politicians dey para say di bills fit bring heavy tax wahala and e fit even contradict di 1999 Constitution.
For di plenary session, lawmaker Sada Soli talk say some parts of di bills fit get problem with di Constitution, especially di way dem wan define derivation principles. He say make dem clear di matter well to avoid any confusion later.
