Di viral video show one content creator wey talk say e buy one liter of Dangote fuel for MRS filling station for Alapere, Lagos, at ₦925, and di same quantity from NNPCL station for Ojodu Berger at ₦945. Di video come claim say when dem use di two fuel for different generators, di one wey get NNPCL fuel stop after 17 minutes, while di one wey use Dangote petrol last 33 minutes.
NNPCL don dismiss di talk, say di person no do any proper research and di experiment no get professional backing. Dem still talk say most of di fuel wey dem sell for di NNPCL station wey di video mention, na from Dangote Refinery dem get am.
NNPCL talk say:
“NNPC Ltd no go gree for di false and misleading talk wey dey spread for online. Di claim say NNPC fuel no last na big lie wey no get any evidence, and e come from one unverified, amateur experiment wey no get credibility at all.
“NNPC fuel dey carefully blend to make sure say e work well, last long, and no spoil di environment. In fact, plenty of di Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) wey dem dey sell for NNPC stations for Lagos—where dem do dis misleading video—na from Dangote Refinery, wey be our strong partner for local production and energy security.
“Dangote Refinery dey follow strict industry standards to make sure say di fuel wey dem supply pure well well. Dis video na just another way wey bad belle people wan use confuse Nigerians and spoil NNPC name.
“We no go gree for anybody wey wan spread fake news about our business. NNPC Ltd go begin take strong legal action against anybody wey dey deliberately spread lie about us. Anybody wey wan spoil our name go face di law.
“We dey beg Nigerians make dem no believe dis kind fake video. If you wan get correct information about fuel quality and supply, make you always check verified sources. NNPC Ltd go continue to make sure say fuel dey available, affordable, and of good quality for everybody, while we dey maintain global industry standards.”
