She post one touching video of how Junior Pope dey play happily wit dia children, as she remember one sweet memory from 2010 wey he tell her say him birthday na di last day for di first week of May.
For her emotional message, Awele talk say e pain her say she no fit celebrate her husband birthday again wit surprise packages like before, candles or cake — instead na tears and sweet memories full her heart now.
She write:
“For July 2010, you ask me when be my birthday. I come ask you your own, you say na di last day for di first week of May. I say na May 7? You say (Smart! With Clap).
Today na May 7, 2025, and I no fit celebrate you wit all di birthday surprise packages wey I dey always do (I no dey ever miss any), no candles, no cake — na tears, memories, and one heart wey still dey beat together wit your own.
I get plenty things for mind to type, but right now, words don fail me. Happy 45th Birthday, our daddy for heaven. We carry your love inside everything we dey do. Continue to dey watch over us, Debonair.”
Dis tribute come one year after Junior Pope tragically die for boat accident on April 10, 2024, during one movie shoot.
Awele don dey drop tributes for am since then — including for him one-year remembrance, where she talk how hard e don be to raise dia three sons, Jason, Jaden, and Jamon, without him. She also share how di children dey ask painful questions about di promises wey their papa no fulfil — like to carry dem go football academy or buy toy car for Jamon.
