Senator Natasha don reject wetin Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Olisa Agbakoba — wey be lawyer for Akpabio — talk say make she withdraw her sexual harassment allegation. She say she still stand by wetin she talk and say she never see any letter from anybody.
For letter wey she write give Agbakoba on 30 April 2025, Natasha talk say she no receive the two letters wey dem claim say dem send on 14 and 22 April.
She write: “Make I talk officially say no be me receive any letter wey una say una send — no post, no courier, nobody bring am to me. I still dey stand by wetin I report on 28 February 2025 and wetin I don talk for my defence for case CV/816/25.”
This na reply to Agbakoba wey talk say Senator Natasha dey dodge serious legal letter and still dey push false allegation.
Agbakoba point one Instagram post wey Natasha make on 9 December 2023 wey she praise Akpabio — just one day after the alleged harassment. He talk say this and the fact say she delete the post dey suspicious. E still question why she wait 14 months before she talk publicly.
But for her reply, Natasha say say just because she smile or pose for picture with Akpabio for public no mean say nothing happen. She explain say for National Assembly, women dey under pressure to behave normal even if dem no dey comfortable.
She say she keep quiet because two cases still dey court — one wey Akpabio wife carry go court (CV/816/25), and another one wey she carry go (FHC/ABJ/CS/384/2025) to challenge her suspension. She talk say because of that, e no good to dey talk anyhow for media.
She even accuse Senate say dem no give her fair hearing before dem suspend her, and say Akpabio no suppose dey in charge for matter wey concern am.
Natasha also talk say Agbakoba no be judge, so e no get right to dey ask her make she prove anything outside court. She say the case dey court already, and na only judge get power to decide.
She warn say all the media wahala wey dey go on na attempt to shut her up, but she no go gree.
Senator Natasha still talk say if dem continue to deny her rights, she fit carry the matter go international level.
She end am with strong words: “I still dey stand by wetin I talk for my petitions. Na truth I talk. Any other thing, na court go judge.”
