As Nigerian Army dey put more effort to fight criminal groups for di area, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, wey be Chief of Army Staff, don promise say Katsina State go soon dey free from bandit wahala.
Oluyede yan dis one on Wednesday when e first visit di 17 Brigade of di Nigerian Army for Natsinta Barracks, Katsina.
After e meet with commanders for closed-door meeting, e tell journalists say e come check how di brigade dey operate and solve any problem wey fit dey affect dem.
“My main reason for dis visit na to see how di 17 Brigade dey work, check di challenges wey dem get, and find quick solution so dem fit do di work we give dem well,” e talk.
Di Army Chief praise di brigade for di effort wey dem dey put to fight insecurity, and e tell dem make dem increase di pressure to wipe bandits comot for di state.
“I believe say di brigade don dey perform well. But to clear all dis bad people comot for di state and make am safe for everybody, I come to encourage dem and tell dem make dem do more,” e talk.
Oluyede still talk say di army dey serious about bringing back security for Katsina, and dem no go rest until banditry clear for di state.
“We don record plenty success, but because our target na to wipe bandits comot completely, na why I dey here to charge dem to do more,” e add.
E still talk say e important make di soldiers protect life and property, and e tell dem make dem stay focused on their duty to defend di country.
E emphasize say di work of di soldiers na to protect Nigeria, and di mission to remove bandits from Katsina follow inside di duty wey dem suppose do.
