Award-winning filmmaker Biodun Stephen don talk say new and upcoming actors suppose dey get chance for Nollywood, especially for streaming platforms like YouTube.
For interview with The Nation, she talk say:
“Art no suppose belong to only one group of people. If dem no fit enter cinema, dem suppose get shot for platforms like YouTube.”
She vex say dem still dey carry popular actors wey we don dey see for cinema and Netflix go dey act YouTube films too — instead of using that space to discover fresh talent.
“If we no give new faces chance, how we wan discover new stars? That na wetin my talk dey about,” she explain.
Stephen also beg movie lovers make dem open their mind when dem see new faces.
“Make una focus on di story and acting — no be only popular face wey matter. Many top stars start from just one scene.”
She still continue to support young talent and dey push for better opportunity for all actors for inside Nollywood.
