Court Don Accept Important Evidence as Nnamdi Kanu Case Still Dey Go On

Di trial of Nnamdi Kanu, di leader of di banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), still dey go on for Federal High Court for Abuja under Justice James Omotosho. For di latest hearing, di federal government don present important evidence wey dem say show say Kanu dey linked to terrorism.

Di prosecuting lawyer wey be Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Adegboyega Awomolo, bring one witness wey dem call BBB. Di witness talk say former Attorney General of di Federation, Abubakar Malami, write petition give DSS where dem accuse Kanu of terrorism, murder, and inciting violence against security people. Di petition, wey dem write on June 17, 2021, enter court record as Exhibit PWF after di defence lawyer no object.

According to di witness, dem claim say Kanu use him broadcasts to tell people make dem attack police and army, collect their guns, and destroy government property like police stations and prisons.

Di court also accept one written statement wey Kanu give DSS on July 17, 2021, where he talk say he no go write anything new because he don already talk wetin he get to talk. Dem mark that one as Exhibit PEG.

One flash drive wey contain Kanu’s voice recordings also enter evidence as Exhibit PWA, even though Kanu lawyer object. Dem also accept di certificate of compliance for di flash drive as Exhibit PW1.

For one video wey dem play for court, wey dem record on December 12, Kanu dey talk to him followers from “di blessed land of Biafra.” He announce di creation of Eastern Security Network (ESN) and talk make dem resist “Fulani domination.” He still warn southeast governors make dem no do political compromise, say no Fulani herdsman go dey allowed for their land.
