Court Don Summon Akpabio, Nwaebonyi Over Human Rights Violation Against Natasha

Two High Courts for Abuja don separately summon Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, over allegation say dem defame, sexually harass and violate di fundamental human rights of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

For one case wey carry suit number FCT/HC/CV/754/2025 before Justice Abubakar Idris Kutigi, di court don grant permission to Akpoti-Uduaghan to serve Akpabio di court papers and other legal documents, both as individual and as Senate President.

Dem also include Akpabio senior legislative aide, Mr. Mfon Patrick, and Clerk of di National Assembly inside di summon.

Dis court move follow one ex parte motion (M/6603/2025) wey Akpoti-Uduaghan lawyer, U.J. Udoh, present with six-paragraph affidavit from Hamzat Mogaji, litigation manager for Victor Giwa & Associates.

For another similar case with suit number FCT/HC/CV/1359/25, Justice A.O. Otaluka also grant permission for substituted service of court papers to Senator Nwaebonyi.
