Lagos State Police Command don launch serious security arrangement to make sure say everywhere go dey peaceful and safe as Eid el-Kabir celebration dey near.
For one statement wey the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, drop on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, dem talk say dem don deploy both tactical and normal police officers go different corners of Lagos to stop any kind criminal wahala before e even start.
The statement talk say:
“Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, don order say make dem immediately deploy normal police, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Eko Strike Force, and other tactical teams of Nigeria Police Force go all the important areas for Lagos.
“Special teams wey go focus on anti-crime matter don also dey for black spots, criminal hideouts, and dangerous areas to stop any kind crime, give people confidence and remove fear for their mind, so everybody—whether Lagosian or visitor—fit enjoy peaceful Sallah celebration.”
Dem also talk say highly trained police officers from elite squads don join the operation.
“Strike forces from Police Mobile Force, Counter-Terrorism Unit, Special Protection Unit, Intelligence Department, Anti-Bomb Squad and other special teams with armoured vehicles and patrol motors don already dey ground. Dem go secure Eid prayer grounds, mosques, celebration venues and fun places make everybody dey safe—both Muslims and non-Muslims.”
Lagos Police still talk say dem go monitor public places well-well.
“Recreation centres and other places wey plenty people go gather go get tight security. Police go control crowd, manage traffic and make sure movement go easy all over Lagos.”
Dem add say dem go use extra security strategies to stop crime and respond fast to any new wahala.
“The main thing be say peace must dey before, during and after Sallah. Police go work together with other security people like soldiers, LASTMA and state agencies to protect everybody for Lagos.”
Dem also warn their officers make dem do their work with respect and maturity.
“All officers must do their duty well, show respect to everybody and no abuse anybody right.”
Finally, dem beg Lagos people to obey law and cooperate with police.
“Make everybody respect law, cooperate with police and make parents tell their children make dem no follow bad gang cause trouble. Anybody wey misbehave go face full punishment.”
Police still talk say make people report anything suspicious.
