Federal High Court wey dey Lokoja, Kogi State capital, don cancel di ruling wey bin stop INEC from collect di recall process wey Kogi Central Senatorial District people start against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

For di landmark judgement wey di court give on Friday, dem confirm say di recall process na wetin di constitution allow, and e match di civic rights wey di constituents get. Di court still advise make di people continue to exercise dia rights in a peaceful and orderly way.

Dis one happen after di same court bin first give order on Thursday wey stop INEC and dia workers from collect, accept or act on any petition wey get signatures from Kogi Central Senatorial District people. Di court still stop INEC from do any referendum based on di petition until dem hear di main matter.

Di court bin grant di order after one man wey im name be Anebe Jacob Ogirima, wey be registered voter for Kogi Central, plus four oda people, carry application go court say di recall petition get signatures wey no be original.

Di lawyer wey represent dem, Smart Nwachimere, argue say di petition get fake signatures from people wey no be real constituents.

Di injunction wey di court give mean say INEC no fit receive or act on recall petition wey get fake signatures or do referendum based on am.

Di court don adjourn di case go May 6, 2025, for further hearing.
