Even as state of emergency dey, Governor Siminalayi Fubara don assure Rivers people say e go still dey follow constitutional order, promise dem security and better governance.

As e dey work with di right institutions to keep Nigeria democracy strong, Fubara don beg Rivers people make dem continue to live in peace and obey di law.

Di Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joe Johnson, talk say di matter wey happen na big wahala for di state political history, and dem no happy about am.

“My oath of office and di responsibility wey I get as governor na wetin dey guide all di decisions wey I don take since I enter office. Our people safety na di most important thing, and we dey make sure say our beloved state no stop to progress,” Fubara talk.

“We don always follow di rule of law and constitutional order, even with di political wahala wey dey ground. Na why we quickly do wetin dem agree for peace sake, including reinstating commissioners wey resign by demself, after Mr. President enter di matter to settle am.”

“To bring di state back to normal, we also follow Supreme Court ruling sharp-sharp as soon as we get di certified true copy. All dis actions no be for personal gain but to bring peace, unity, and stability for our beloved Rivers State.”

“Our main priority still remain to protect people and property, and to make sure say Rivers people dey enjoy better life,” Fubara talk.

“Even with all di political wahala, good governance never stop. We still dey pay salaries, and we still dey run important projects to develop di state. Most importantly, Rivers State dey peaceful, safe, and secure under our leadership.”

“I dey beg all Rivers people make dem remain calm and obey di law during dis important period. We go work with all di right institutions to make sure say Rivers State and our democracy remain strong. We go handle dis matter with sense, patience, and strong belief in democracy, because we be people wey no dey give up easily.”

Meanwhile, former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, don reject di state of emergency declaration, talk say e no go ever support anything wey go remove an elected governor.

Dickson talk say e shock as President Tinubu make di announcement.

“Like other Nigerians, I shock when I hear di president talk about di political wahala for Rivers State. I no support state of emergency, especially if e mean say di governor and im deputy go comot for office for six months. Even when PDP dey power, I still stand against dis kind thing. I no believe say na wetin di constitution mean. Dis no be di first time wey I go stand against emergency declaration wey go remove a governor,” Dickson talk.

Former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, don talk say na big mistake to remove an elected government, even if dem declare state of emergency.

“I always believe say we suppose protect elected government, no be to just remove dem anyhow,” Dickson talk.

“When I wan retire as governor, I bring in my successor because I sabi di anti-democratic forces wey dey our region and di whole country. I don fight dem, I don see wetin dem fit do, and I sabi dia plans. But di person wey I bring in, e no tell me say e get plan to become governor.

“As member of di Ijaw movement, na me bring am in make e lead and protect our people with our full support.”

“I work hard during my eight years as governor, and for six years inside recession, I still make sure say I leave better impact for everywhere inside di state. Even though recession bin make us dey pay half salary, we still help plenty men, women, and young people with di small N500 million wey we dey manage every month.”

“With di help of our friends and allies, we stop federal forces from take over di state for 2015, for di general election wey happen for 2019, and for di governorship election wey happen for 2020, where I support every candidate. Na dis same Ijaw land wey we don struggle to build dem wan turn upside down so?
