“During di Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources press briefing yesterday, we talk am clear say Lagos no go dey tolerate people wey dey mess up environment again.
“From July 1, we go begin enforce di ban on single-use plastics strong. Anybody wey dump refuse anyhow, litter road, or dey scatter di environment go pay big fine – up to ₦250,000 – or dem go spend up to three months for prison.
“We don already arrest over 3,000 people and we go increase our watch and awareness,” Wahab talk.
E still talk say law wey ban cart pushers still dey in place, and public toilet anyhow or illegal selling for road no go dey allowed.
“This na for di sake of our environment, for us and for our pikin dem future. Make we use dis Sallah time do clean and responsible celebration.”
E advise Lagos people make dem dey pack their waste well and no dey throway am for gutter or road middle.
“Give your refuse to di PSP people wey dey handle your area. All of us get responsibility to protect Lagos. Time to change don reach!”
