On top drainage matter, Shettima say President don still give instruction make dem fix di gutter and water way dem for inside Mokwa town.
Di flood wey happen for May 28, 2025, don already claim over 200 lives for different communities inside Mokwa.
Di Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs for Niger State, Ahmad Suleiman, talk say dem still dey find more dead bodies.
“We don recover more than 200 bodies but we still dey search. Till now, we never fit talk exactly how many people die because we never recover all di bodies,” na wetin Suleiman yarn for interview.
E talk say di state government don already start emergency response to distribute relief materials give people wey flood pursue from their house wey now dey stay for temporary camps.

But as all these dey happen, some of di victims wey flood pursue from their house dey complain say dem no dey enjoy di relief help well.
Many of dem dey talk say di camp wey government provide no good at all, and dem no even dey see food or supplies like dem suppose get.
One of di victims, Mama Isah, talk say: “We be 17 people for my house, but dem give us only one loaf of bread and small tea. How dat one go reach even for breakfast?”
