E talk say as of June 1, 2025, dem don confirm say 153 people don die for di flood.
Di statement talk say:
“This kain sad disaster don affect many houses and plenty people. But di govment still dey stand gidigba to support di families and communities wey suffer.
Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), together with local authorities and volunteers, still dey work day and night to give help to di people wey the flood affect.”
Dem still talk say, even as di govment dey feel di pain of everybody wey lose person,
“we dey beg everybody make dem calm down and use sense for wetin dem dey talk, especially for social media and other places.
This time na for mourning and serious sorrow, so make people no dey spread fake or overhype news wey go make the matter worse.”
Di govment beg all citizens to work hand-in-hand with correct authorities and trust di response wey dem dey carry out.
SSG still beg all Niger people make dem put unity, love and correct information first during this hard time.
