NAFDAC don talk say all shop owners for Bridgehead drug market wey dey Onitsha, Anambra State, must sign undertaking through their union before dem fit open shop.
As dem reopen di market afta one month wey e dey closed for sanitation and regulation enforcement, NAFDAC don warn say only di people wey comply with di new conditions go fit start business again.
Di agency still tok say dem go apply punishment for past violations wey concern drug distribution wahala.
Di Onitsha Bridgehead drug market, including Ogbo Ogwu and three oda markets wey dey around, bin dey closed from February 10 to March 7 to correct di way pipo dey sell medicine anyhow. Dis kind action happen for Kano, Idumota, Yaba, and Onitsha at di same time.
NAFDAC DG, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, yarn say dem don put strict conditions to make sure di problem no happen again.
She talk say:
- Shop owners must do proper documentation and clearance before dem fit open shop.
- NAFDAC don put special desk to help with di process so say all regulations go dey followed well.
- She remind everybody say drug business na serious matter because e concern public health and national security.
- NAFDAC still thank di market leaders and Anambra State Government for dia support.
