Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Tomi Coker, announce di outbreak on Wednesday, as she warn say Lassa fever na serious viral disease wey fit cause high fever, headache, weakness, sore throat, muscle pain, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, and even bleeding from di nose, mouth, and oda body openings.
She advise make anybody wey notice dis kind symptoms quick go hospital, especially if dia sickness no respond to malaria or antibiotics afta two days.
Di commissioner still tok say di government dey work with di Rapid Response Team for Ijebu North East to control di situation, increase surveillance, and mobilize di community for better response. She urge all hospitals, both private and public, to follow infection prevention measures and report any suspected case.
