Police Investigate Alleged Attack On Pipeline For Rivers, Arrest Two Suspects

Rivers State Police Command don launch investigation to find wetin cause di fire wey happen for di Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Trans Niger Delta Pipeline wey dey between Kpor and Bodo communities.

For one statement wey di Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Grace Iringe-Koko sign, she confirm say security operatives see di fire during dia routine night patrol, come quickly alert SPDC management.

Iringe-Koko also talk say dem don arrest two people wey dem suspect get hand for di matter, and say di oil company don take necessary safety steps, including shutting down di affected pipeline.

Di statement talk say: “Because of quick action, di situation dey under control now, and e no go affect residents or di environment again.

“Rivers State Police Command don start better investigation to know wetin cause di fire. As part of di efforts to find out if na sabotage, we don carry two people go for questioning. Di Command go make sure say anybody wey dey do bad thing go face justice.

“We dey beg residents make dem stay calm and dey watchful. We dey committed to protect lives and property, and we no go stop to make sure say we remove criminals from di state to keep everywhere peaceful and secure.”

Di statement also beg members of di public to call di police control room for 08032003514, 08098880134; PPRO 09014273818 and CRU 08120822987, 09035774814 if dem get any better information about di incident or if dem see anything suspicious.
