Controversial singer Portable (real name Habeeb Okikiola) don finally get freedom after Fuji legend Saheed Osupa officially withdraw di cyberstalking and defamation case wey him carry go court.
Di matter settle on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after Osupa’s lawyer Ahmed Opalekunde submit formal notice for Upper Area Court 1, Ilorin, Kwara State, say dem no do again. He say na after plenty appeals and big-big people from music industry and Nigeria beg, Osupa agree make peace.
Di whole case start from one Instagram live video wey Portable do on March 19, where he throw shades and insults at Osupa. For the viral video, Portable yarn say:
“Saheed Osupa, you big for nothing. If you no go embrace me, I go drag you. I use your line like I use Pasuma own too, but Pasuma no report me. If you no fit treat me like Pasuma treat me, just keep your distance.”
Osupa say di talk spoil him name and cause public wahala, and he feel say Portable just dey drag am anyhow for internet.
Na why dem charge Portable go court under:
- Penal Code
- Cybercrimes Act of 2015
- Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law, 2020
On Monday, court grant Portable ₦1 million bail, with two sureties — one must be PMAN official, and the other must own land for GRA.
But now wey Osupa don settle the matter out of court, he don officially withdraw the case. For the letter wey Osupa lawyers send court, dem beg say:
“Make the court warn Portable say make e no try talk or post anything again wey go spoil our client name or business.”
As everything don settle, Portable fit now breathe small, but dem don still warn am make he behave himself going forward.
