Di Police Service Commission (PSC) don approve di appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as di new Commissioner of Police (CP) for Lagos State Command.
Di announcement come on Monday afternoon from PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani. Before dis appointment, CP Jimoh bin dey in charge of Port Authority, Eastern Ports Command, Rivers State.
Im selection follow interview wey PSC Chairman, DIG (Rtd) Hashimu Argungu, along with retired Supreme Court Judge Adamu Paul Galmuje and DIG (Rtd) Taiwo Lakanu do on Monday morning.
CP Jimoh, wey be seasoned police officer and former Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), na from Kwara State and e bring plenty experience for police operations, administration, and strategic communication.
Him previous roles include Deputy Commissioner for Airport Command, Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner for General Investigations.
CP Jimoh don also undergo various professional training programs, including:
- Combat Operations Course for Mobile Training College, Maiduguri
- African Union Mission for Darfur, Sudan
- Weapons of Mass Destruction Countermeasure Training for First Responder Training Institute, United States
- Social Construction and Management Training for China Executive Leadership Academy, Pudong
- Maritime Rescue and Salvage Training for China Maritime Academy, Ningbo
- Anti-Hijacking Techniques and Tactics Course for Yunnan Police College, Kunming, China
- Police Training for Police Training Institute, Seoul, South Korea
CP Jimoh don also collect Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, in recognition of him contribution for public relations within law enforcement.
Im appointment go bring better leadership and strategic policing to Lagos State Command.
