“Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan dey suspended because of gross misconduct and unruly behaviour, no be because of any sexual harassment or assault allegation. Di Senate of di Federal Republic of Nigeria strongly reject di misinformation and false narrative wey some media organisations dey spread about di six-month suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Make e clear say Uduaghan suspension na because of her continuous misconduct and disregard for Senate Standing Orders.”

Honourable Ogbara still talk say make dem properly investigate di allegation wey Senator Natasha carry give Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

She insist say di Senate follow all procedures before dem suspend Natasha.

Last week, di Senate suspend di lawmaker, wey don cause plenty talk for di country.

She first submit petition against Akpabio for sexual harassment, but di lawmakers reject am before dem suspend her, even after she submit another petition.

Senator Natasha don swear say she go continue di fight against “injustice.” But Akpabio don deny di allegations, talk say he never harass any woman before.
