One Nigerian nurse wey dey live for Leeds, United Kingdom, Nnena Miriam, don die and dem find her dead body inside her house, wey don cause serious shock and pain among nurses both for UK and Nigeria.
According to Fellow Nurses Africa, one group wey dey support nursing profession for Africa, na police discover her body after dem file missing person report.
One of her close friends begin worry as she no show for work and no dey pick call since Sunday. The person come report say she dey miss, na so police enter her house come find her body.
For statement wey the group release on Wednesday, dem talk say: “Na with heavy heart we take announce say one of our own, Nnena Miriam, a committed nurse for Leeds, UK, don die. Dem find her lifeless body for her room early this week under painful condition. Her last shift na on Sunday last week.
“Her friend try reach her that Sunday but no success. When the worry too much, the friend file missing person report. Na so police later find her dead body for her apartment.”
Dem also talk say Miriam just come back from Nigeria after she do her introduction ahead of her traditional marriage.
“Tuesday, April 29, suppose be her special day — day of celebration and new beginning. But her sudden death don leave everybody for deep sorrow and confusion,” the statement talk.
Her colleagues describe her as person wey dey kind, hardworking and committed for her job.
“Her sudden death na big loss to the health workers wey she work with and the many patients wey she care for with love and dedication.
“As investigation still dey go on, we join her family, friends and nurses around Africa to mourn this big loss,” the statement add.
This kind sad matter don happen before. For March 2024, another Nigerian woman, Chidimma Ezenyili, wey dey work for UK, collapse on duty on February 22 while she dey care for elderly man for Scott Road. She later die two days after.
