Valentine’s Day: NACA Warn Nigerians Make Dem Put Safety and Protection First

As Valentine’s Day dey near, di National Agency for di Control of AIDS (NACA) don advise Nigerians make dem put safety and responsibility first as dem dey celebrate. Di agency talk say love and intimacy suppose always waka together wit protection.

For one statement wey Mrs. Toyin Aderibigbe sign, NACA Director General, Dr. Temitope Ilori, stress say e dey important make people make better decisions to protect demsef from HIV and oda sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

“HIV still be serious public health wahala, but e fit be prevented,” Dr. Ilori yarn. She warn say risky behaviors like unprotected sex, plenty sexual partners, and drug abuse fit increase di chance of HIV transmission.

“We wan make everybody enjoy Valentine’s Day, but make dem do am wisely. Protect yourself and your partner—go do test, use protection, and make better choices,” she add.

NACA still remind people say e good make dem sabi dia HIV status. Di agency encourage Nigerians make dem dey do regular HIV test as part of dia health check-up. Plus, free HIV testing dey available for government hospitals across di country, so everybody fit get di care wey dem need.
