2 Police Officers indicted over Killing of 17-Year-Old Girl

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced the process to punish two police officers over the murder of 17-year-old TINA EZEKWE last Friday.

Gunshots fired by A.S.P THEOPHILUS OTOBO and Inspector OGUNTOBA OLAMIGOKE caused the death of the teenager around Iyana-Oworo on the Lagos 3rd Mainland Bridge.

The assessment by the police authorities shows that the police officers under investigation conduct themselves below professional standard.

Spokesman for the state police command, BALA ELKANA, said ASP OTOBO has been served with Official Query while Inspector OLAMIGOKE is undergoing Orderly Room trial.

ELKANA said the ASP would also appear before the Force Disciplinary Board in Abuja, after which the recommendations would be forwarded to the Police Service Commission for approval.
