Akwa Ibom State Governor, UDOM EMMANUEL, has inaugurated newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen of the thirty-one local government councils in the state.
Governor EMMANUEL performed the inauguration at a ceremony in the state capital, Uyo, and charged them to go back and constituted their various legislative councils.
The Governor also advised people of Akwa Ibom State who may have issues with his administration to direct their questions to the government.
He cautioned against taking issues about the state to the social media, warning that the government would not accept any attempt to instigate the people.
Governor UDOM EMMANUEL also announced that this year’s Christmas celebration in Akwa Ibom State would not be like in the past due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Governor EMMANUEL said the annual Christmas Carol and Solemn Assembly would be performed by selected persons, on behalf of the entire people of the state.
